Have you heard the controversy over the remarks of Paul Tudor Jones about women traders? In the interview Paul Tudor Jones raises several points about what he sees as essential traits for successful traders. Unfortunately while getting his message across he uses little tact with regard to women traders and makes some sweeping generalisations.

Books and courses often just give you the textbook classic uses of technical indicators. With a library of indicators in our trading platform we can easily just drag the indicator onto a chart and try to visually find a way to use it. For the back testers amongst us it’s too easy to just throw an indicator into the mix without fully thinking about what purpose it really serves and what it means.
I want to challenge you to think and use technical indicators in unconventional ways that make logical sense.

I’m a private trader and mother of two great “tween” girls. Trading has a great amount of flexibility, scope for creativity and unlimited rewards totally free of the popular glass ceiling of gender inequality. Along my travels I’ve found women traders seem to make up a very small minority of traders and I’d like to inspire other women to get into trading to enjoy the great potential it offers. Read more »
